A short story

Once upon a time, there was a young girl named Lyana. Lyana was 16 years old and lived in Ampang. While walking back to school one day, a green cat jumped out from behind the bushes and tackled Lyana to the ground. But just when she was about to let out a scream for help, Lyana realized that the green cat was only licking her face, not trying to bite it off. At that moment, Lyana decided to keep the green cat as a pet. And on the way home she decided to name her pet green cat "Afina". When Lyana and her new pet finally got home, guess who was standing on the front porch? That's right! It was Lyana's mother, Mrs. Aida. And boy was she surprised to see a green cat following Lyana into the yard! "What in the world is that?" shouted Mrs. Aida. "It's a green cat," answered Lyana. Huh! I can see that, Lyana but what on earth is it doing here?" said Mrs. Aida. "It's my new pet!" answered Lyana. "Oh, you think so don't you?" remarked Mrs. Aida. "I wouldn't get your hopes up. You know how your father hates green cats. But, well, I suppose you can keep him until your father comes home." And with that, Lyana grabbed Afina by the scruff of the neck and led her new pet into the house. Even thought she knew her father was probably going to dissaprove. Once un the house, Lyana and Afina played and played, that is until Lyana's favourite television show, "Power Rangers", started. At that point, Lyana forgot all about Afina having an unsupervised run of the house. That is until half way through "Power Rangers", when Lyana was brought back to reality when she heard her father shout, "Arghh!! Lyana! Get your UGLY CAT in the garage..NOW!!" With that Lyana rushed into the garage to see what all the fuss was about. When she entered the garage, there stood her father, Mr. Wan, pointing toward the box. "Will someone please explain that?" asked her father. Then, as Lyana followed her father's finger to where it was pointing, she instantly knew what her father was so upset about. There, smack dab on the middle of the box, was the biggest pile of cat doo-doo she had ever seen! "I don't EVEN want to know how that got there,"said Mr. Wan. "But you had better clean it up now! And you had better get rid of whatever it is that could have done such a thing!" Well, knowing her father as well as she did, Lyana knew there was no sense even asking her father if she could keep Afina for a pet. So, without hesitation, Lyana set out to find where Afina was hiding. After a few minutes of looking, Lyana discovered Afina crouched beneath the table that Lyana did her drawing on. "Come on, Afina. It's time to find you a new home. And hey, don't look at me that way. I'm not the one who did the dirty deed on the box!" scolded Lyana. "Thanks to you I'll never get to have my own pet cat! And with that Lyana led Afina out of the house and down the the local Tesco. They had a pet section and Lyana knew the owner would find Afina a good home. So, after saying goodbye to Afina, and thanking to the owner of Tesco, Lyana walked back home and attempted to dround her sorrows by slamming down a half dozen of Mamee. But Lyana's pitty party came to an abrupt end when her father reminded her about the mess she had neglected to clean up. And low and behold, midway through the clean up, Lyana suddenly became thankful that someone else was going to have to do it from now on.
